Bobi dazzles London fans with first performance in 10 years

It’s been ten years since Bobi Wine’s last headlining show and his performance in London, 20th /April/2024 was fittingly a grand return.

In the concert  dubbed "The Return of the Gladiator’"that marked an end to his 10-year ban from performing in the UK, Bobi delivered a captivating performance that compelled revelers to endure several hours on their legs as they chanted and danced to his songs spanning from late 1990s to date.

The show, backed by a live band and featuring Nubian Li and Gen Mega D who flew from his US home as guest performers, lasted for at least five hours.

The legendary singer showcased a mix of politically and socially conscious songs he’s performed over the years, starting with Akagoma’, drawing cheers from an enthusiastic crowd adorned with red berets, giving the event a powerful atmosphere.

The concert took place at the Intercontinental Hotel, Peninsula Ballroom Greenwich in East London and its ticket  went for between £70 and £100.
